ANTIMICROBIAL YARNS
Without bacteria, mops last longer and won't produce sometimes the foul odor associated with mop rot. Antimicrobial yarns are perfect for fast food outlets, hospitals, conveniece stores, etc. where cross contamination is possible and/or cleaning is done in public view.

Inhibits bacteria. Antimicrobial treatment inhibits the growth of bacteria, fungi, mold and mildew in the mop yarn.
We manufacture 3 types of antimicrobial yarns:
- Topic application
- Application during opening and carding
- Utilizing co-extruded fiber with the active ingredient built into the fiber.
The type 1 is the most economical, however, its antimicrobial properties are not long lasting, in the type 2 they last longer but the most popular (and highest in price)is type 3.
The treatment remains active during the life of the mop and even after repeated use and washings. It is rare that mop yarn companies offer all 3 types of treatments.
These yarns are available in Acrilex AM Blue, Acrilex AM Green and Rayon F AM white. |
