Himesa’s industrial dust mops offer the features you need for those heavy duty cleaning chores at an affordable price! Built on the highest quality poly/cotton duck canvas and sewn with heavy duty stitching with ring spun polyester thread ensuring in this way rugged performance. We use the finest 2 and 4 ply natural cotton yarn tightly tufted for a better cleaning job. Available in 8 to 72 inch lengths, in the ever popular 5 and 3 ½ inch widths. Yarn available in natural and colors (special order).

Optional Sizes

You have either 5" or 3.5" metal frames available. The 5" frames are available in all styles and varieties. However, the 3.5" frames are only available in a limited number of styles and varieties.

Slip-on Disposable

The new disposable dust mop is setting the standard by which all other disposables are judged. This mop, manufactured with high loft cotton blend yarn will outperform and outlast most dust control systems. Available in two types: econo-disposable with heavy duty surging on each side (available in natural yarn only) and our deluxe disposable with all around fringe (available in natural and in color yarn).

Our tie-on disposables are the same as the Slip-on Disposable, but in a convenient Tie-on style. Available in two types: econo-disposable with heavy duty surging on each side (available in natural yarn only) and our deluxe disposable with all around fringe (available in natural and in color yarn)

Options: Pre-treated Disposable Dustmops available: Non petroleum based (CODE: NPBT) and Petroleum Based (CODE: PBT) treatments.

Treatment Options

For a conventional dust mops to pick up dust better, dust mop treatment is the best effective vehicle, once the treatment is applied the dust mop fibers act as reservoirs to absorb and carry dust mop treatment. In order for the dust mop treatment to do its job, the Dustmop head should always be clean, properly treated and cured.

• We can also apply an odorizing agent, an antimicrobial treatment, etc.

Treated dust mops have been proven twice as effective as untreated tools. Pre-treated mops offer convenience, labor savings and insure a properly treated product every time. HIMESA can pre-treat Dust Mops to your order either petroleum based or water based. Non-petroleum based dust mop treatments give all the benefits of oil-based treatments without the environmental hazards. For correct on-site treating, use two ounces of treatment for every foot of dust mop. For retreating, use one ounce for every foot of dust mop. Before use, a minimum curing time of eight hours is recommended. When chemical treatment is not appropriate, choose a mop that picks up by static attraction making treatment unnecessary.

If a dust mop is PROPERLY CARED FOR, it can clean up to a million square feet before it needs to be replaced or laundered! It doesn’t really matter whether or not the dust mop is launderable or disposable to be effective and economical. Disposables cannot be laundered but cost about 40% less than launderables. Launderables can be washed in a net bag (to prevent unnecessary wear or fraying) and re-treated.

Launderables require extra labor and laundry facilities and, more often than not, are thrown out when they are perceived to be “too dirty”. If proper care is not going to be used, disposables are a better value. If laundry facilities and proper maintenance are available, launderables are a better value.
